The ECAC honored three Bulldogs following the first official week of competition, which ended on Jan. 14. Yale started the season off in a quad meet at Rhode Island with Rutgers and New Hampshire. Both of the team's freshmen won awards, as well as senior Miki Seltzer.

Brigitte Kivisto earned Rookie of the Week by scoring a 36.625 in the all-around. She added an impressive 9.7 on the beam to the team score, as well as scores of 9.25 on vault, 8.75 on bars, and 8.925 on floor.

Allison Mak was recognized as a co-recipient of the Coaches' Choice award with her 8.975 on beam.

The ECAC has also recognized Seltzer as Specialist of the Week twice. At URI, she scored a 9.25 on vault and won floor with a 9.625. Last week in a tri-meet with Southern Connecticut and Bridgeport, she put up a 9.6 on vault and a career high 9.825 on floor. Seltzer won both events.
