NEW HAVEN, Conn. - For the 2005-2006 school year, the Yale women's gymnastics team placed fourth in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches' annual academic ranking. The Bulldogs were the highest ranked Ivy League university and had an average GPA of 3.5793.
Led by Cynthia Leung, seven other individual Bulldogs were recognized as All-American Scholar Athletes. These include seniors Suchitra Paul, Sarah Peterson, and Miki Seltzer; juniors Laura Lombardi and Jessica Tai; and sophomores Sarah Hughes and Lauren Tatsuno. Roughly half of the team is on a pre-med track.
In addition, the every member of the team was honored as an ECAC Scholar Athlete.
