Yale gymnast Anne McPherson earned ECAC Athlete of the Week honors for her performance at last Saturday's Ivy Classic. Competing at the John J. Lee Amphitheater, the junior led the Elis to its third Ivy Classic title in five years, winning the all-around title.
McPherson scored a 38.675 in the four events, including meet bests of 9.825 on the beam and 9.750 on the floor. She became only the 11th gymnast in Yale history to win the Ivy Classic all-around title and the first since Katherine Fong accomplished the feat in 2003.
The Bulldogs defeated Cornell, Penn, and Brown with a team score of 191.525, over two points better than the second place Big Red.
