Campbell to Captain 2007-2008 Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Four days before her 21st birthday, junior Kristen Campbell was elected to be the captain of Yale's 2007-2008 women's gymnastics team. Her predecessor is Sarah Peterson.

Campbell is a psychology major who has been an ECAC Scholar Athlete for the past three years. As a freshman, she competed in the all-around and was an ECAC Rookie of the Week award recipient. In her sophomore year, she continued to compete in almost every event. As a junior, she competed on beam, scoring a 9.625 at ECACs.
