Haddad Named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week

Scored Two Goals to Lead Bulldogs to Win Over Brown Thursday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman forward Jamie Haddad (Wilbraham, Mass.) has been named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Haddad had a pair of goals last week, scoring both in the second period Thursday to break a 1-1 tie and lead Yale to a 3-1 win over Brown.

With the two goals, Haddad has moved into a tie for the team lead in that category with her line mate, fellow freshman forward Janelle Ferrara (Winthrop, Mass.). Haddad also has a team-best four power play goals, and thanks in part to her work Yale is already just two power play goals away from matching the total from all of last season (12).

With three assists for the season, Haddad is third on the team in points. All of her scoring has come in conference games.

Yale hosts No. 4 Cornell Friday (7:00 p.m.) and Colgate Saturday (4:00 p.m.) this weekend at Ingalls Rink. In addition to being Alumnae Weekend, Saturday's game is the annual "White Out for Mandi".
