  • Yale Leads Conference in Academic All-Stars
    July 10, 2018
    One hundred and ninety-two student-athletes representing the ECAC Hockey’s 12 women’s programs have been named to the 2017-18 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. A total of 116 of this year’s student-athletes are repeat honorees, having been named to the team last year. In addition, 28 student-athletes have the distinction of receiving the honor four consecutive season.

  • Yale Women’s Hockey Welcomes 7 Newcomers

    New Bulldogs from the Northeastern part of the U.S., Ontario and Germany will join the Yale Women’s Hockey Team for the 2018-19 campaign. Seven members of the class of 2022, which include five forwards and two defensemen, were announced today by head coach Joakim Flygh.
  • Seven Seniors, One Team Honored At Senior Student-Athlete Reception

    One team and seven seniors were recognized by the Yale Athletics Department at the annual senior student-athlete reception on Saturday at the Lanman Center in Payne Whitney Gym. The women’s golf team earned the Brodhead Award for the highest team grade point average. Claire Huebner (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) of the co-ed sailing team and Theo Miller (Brooklyn, N.Y.) of the men’s soccer team were the recipients of the Ford Student-Athlete Community Outreach Award. The Kiphuth Student-Athlete Distinction Award was presented to Carl Mansson (Stockholm, Sweden) of the men’s track and field team and Calleigh Higgins (Ogdensburg, N.J.) of the women’s cross country and track and field team. Kiwi Comizio (New Vernon, N.J.) of the field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams received the Amanda Walton Award, and Courtney Pensavalle (Winchester, Mass.) and Jason Alessi (Bloomfield Hills, Mich) were the recipients of the Molly Meyer Humanitarian Award.
  • Tenth Annual Mandi Schwartz Drive Adds 464 More Potential Life Savers

    With 51 life-saving marrow donations through its first nine years, the Mandi Schwartz Marrow Donor Registration Drive at Yale had given people plenty of reasons to celebrate heading into the 10th annual drive Thursday. This year’s edition was another success, as the Bulldogs added 464 more potential donors to the Be The Match Registry®.
  • Women's Hockey Players Earn Team Awards

    The 2017-18 Yale women's ice hockey team gathered for the final time in the Schley Room at David S. Ingalls Rink for the annual team banquet. In addition to celebrating a season that included making the ECAC Hockey Tournament, the Bulldogs honored the winners of the team awards.

    Emma Vlasic, a second-generation Yalie from Wilmette, Ill., has been named captain of the 2018-19 Yale Women’s Hockey Team.
  • Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced

    The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2017-18 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The recipients were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes.

    Mallory Souliotis, a senior blueliner from Acton, Mass., has been named to the 2017-18 All-New England Team.
