  • Tinker Wins Gold with Canada in World Ball Hockey Championships

    Rising sophomore defenseman Saroya Tinker (Oshawa, Ont.) of the Yale women’s ice hockey team won gold this past weekend playing for Canada at the World Ball Hockey Federation Championships in Litomerice and Lovosice, Czech Republic. Canada beat the Czech Republic 4-1 in the final Sunday after shutting out Slovakia 7-0 in the semifinal Saturday.
  • Matt Woodard Joins Staff as Assistant Coach

    Matt Woodard, who spent the past four seasons at RIT and helped the Tigers make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, has joined the Yale women’s ice hockey staff as an assistant coach. Joakim Flygh, Yale’s Susan Cavanagh Head Coach of Women’s Ice Hockey, announced the move Friday.
  • 2017-18 Schedule Released; Includes Six Games vs. NCAA Tourney Teams

    Six games against teams that played in the 2017 NCAA Tournament highlight the 2017-18 Yale women’s ice hockey team schedule, which was announced Wednesday. The 29 game regular season also includes eight games against teams that ended the past season ranked in the top 10.
  • Class of 2021 Includes Seven New Bulldogs

    As the Yale women’s ice hockey team looks to build on the momentum from three ECAC Hockey playoff appearances in the last four years, seven incoming freshmen will join the Bulldogs in 2017-18. The Class of 2021, which was announced Thursday, includes four forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender. The group represents four U.S. states, one Canadian province and the District of Columbia.
  • Kaitlin Gately to Captain Bulldogs in 2017-18

    Junior forward Kaitlin Gately (Hingham, Mass.) has been elected captain of the Yale women’s ice hockey team for the 2017-18 season. Gately, who was selected by a team vote, was introduced formally at the team’s post-season banquet Tuesday Apr. 18 at the Yale Golf Course. She leads the Bulldogs into their 41st varsity season.
