Love, Helen Resor Draw Notice from USCHO

Oct. 4, 2004

Yale goalie Sarah Love and defenseman Helen Resor were both named to preseason All-USCHO teams on Monday, with Love making the Second Team and Resor making the Rookie Team.

Love, who participated in tryouts for Canada's U22 team over the summer, had a school-record .931 save percentage last season. She ranked first in the ECAC and fifth nationally in that category. Love also set the school mark for goals-against average (2.25). She was named first team All-Ivy and second team All-ECAC. She also was named to the New England Hockey Writers Association Division I All-Star team.

Resor, who played for the U.S. U22 team last summer, is the cousin of defenseman Nina Resor. She led Noble & Greenough School to a 25-0-3 record and a New England Division I Championship last season. Her sister Jane played for Yale as well, graduating in 2001.

Yale has a preseason scrimmage with Princeton at Ingalls Rink on Saturday October 23 at 2:00 and an exhibition game against McGill the next day at 12:00. The Bulldogs open their season at Quinnipiac on October 30 at 5:00.
