Love Named Preseason All-USCHO

Oct. 6, 2005

Goaltender Sarah Love (Bayfield, Ont.) was named to the preseason All-USCHO first team on Wednesday. This marks the second season in a row that she has been recognized by USCHO.

Love, who was second team preseason All-USCHO last year, owns the school single-season records for wins (14), save percentage (.931) and goals-against average (2.25). She is a two-time team MVP and was second team All-ECAC in 2003-04. A week ago, she was one of three Bulldogs named to the ECACHL All-Star Team that will compete against Team USA in an exhibition game at Ingalls Rink on Nov. 1.

The Bulldogs won a school-record 16 games last season, including their first playoff victory and first appearance in the ECACHL semifinals. Yale opens the regular season Oct. 28 at Ingalls Rink against Quinnipiac in the first game of the Nutmeg Classic.
