New Haven, CT - On the heels of Yale's upset win over then No. 3 Harvard Friday night, Yale goaltender Sarah Love has been named U.S. College Hockey Online Division I Defensive Player of the Week and ECACHL Goalie of the Week.

Love made 48 saves on 50 shots Friday night as Yale beat the Crimson for the first time in 20 years, 3-2 at Ingalls Rink. The victory snapped a string of 39 consecutive wins for Harvard in the series. That was the third-best save total of Love's career and the most she's made in a game since she stopped 51 against Dartmouth March 2, 2003. She followed that up with 25 saves Saturday against No. 8 Brown to finish the weekend with a .924 save percentage, stopping 73 of 79 shots.

Love, who holds the school single-season save percentage (.931) record, was named second team All-ECAC last season and was named second team All-USCHO in the preseason. She is currently fourth on Yale's all-time list with 1,805 saves.

Joining Love on the ECACHL's award winners list was forward Kelsey Johnson, who was named to the Honor Roll. Johnson set the tone for Yale's upset of Harvard early on Friday night, assisting on Nicole Symington's goal to open the scoring 3:16 in and adding a goal of her own in the second period that gave Yale a 2-0 lead. Johnson added an assist Saturday night against then No.8 Brown to come out of the weekend with three points.
