Love, Zingler Earn Weekly Honors from ECACHL

Yale's Sheila Zingler and Sarah Love were both honored by the ECACHL today, as Zingler earned Player of the Week and Love was Goalie of the Week.

Zingler had two game-winning goals and totaled five points for the week, as Yale went 3-0, topping No. 9 Providence in addition to victories over ECACHL opponents Cornell and Colgate. The sophomore forward got started last Monday night against the Friars with a goal and three assists in the 5-1 win. An injury late in that game did not slow her down, as she came back to play Friday night and then got the game-winner on Saturday in the Bulldog's 2-1 victory over the Raiders. She finished the week +3 and was part of a line that accounted for 12 points in those three games.

Love, who went 3-0, allowing just three goals in 180 minutes of work (1.00 goals against average). The junior netminder stopped 39-of-40 shots vs. the Friars and went on to stop 21-of-22 against Cornell and 23-of-24 against Colgate. Overall she stopped 83-of-86 shots (.965) on the weekend to raise her season save percentage to .932 and lower her season goals against average to 2.01. She owns the school single-season record in both of those categories at .931 and 2.25 respectively.
