NEW HAVEN, Conn. – First-year attacker Kayla Duperrouzel (Fairfax Station, Va.) has added to her honors after helping the Yale women's lacrosse team to a pair of wins last week. On Wednesday she was named National Rookie of the Week by Inside Lacrosse. That award comes on the heels of her being named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Duperrouzel had a pair of goals and a pair of assists in last Wednesday's 13-8 win at Quinnipiac. She then scored five goals -- including four in a span of 2:30 as the Bulldogs built an 8-1 lead -- in the 14-9 win vs. then-No. 19 UMass Saturday. She also had an assist on a critical late goal by senior midfielder Emily Granger (Grasonville, Md.) to help the Bulldogs finish off their second win over a ranked team this season.

Duperrouzel was a US Lacrosse first team All-American, USA Today All-USA and US Lacrosse All-Academic in 2017 at Bishop Ireton. She played for Capital Lacrosse Club and has volunteered with Adaptive Lacrosse, teaching people with physical or mental impairments how to play lacrosse.

Duperrouzel is in Saybrook College at Yale.

Yale, ranked No. 19 in the latest USLacrosse Magazine poll, hosts Harvard Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  The Bulldogs are 3-0 for the first time since 2014, when they started the season 5-0.
