Fauer and Custo Grieg Named NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn.—After their dominant win in B division at the Yale Women's Intersectional, freshmen Marlena Fauer and Eugenia Custo Grieg were named the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association Women's sailors of the week. They battled the strong breeze to claim two races.

Fauer and Custo Grieg have had a fabulous freshman fall campaign. They began the season with a second-place finish in B division at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl at Dartmouth and followed that up by winning B division at the Regis Bowl a week later hosted by BU.  The third weekend they moved up to A division and finished second at the Women's Finger Lakes Intersectional hosted by Hobart William Smith. Two weekends ago they finished sixth in B division at the supremely competitive Navy Women's Fall Intersectional.

Fauer's and Custo Grieg's early success is very exciting for the young Bulldog team as they progress through the fall season.
