Underclassmen Secure an Impressive Eighth-Place Finish at Women’s ACCs
This weekend a group of underclassmen, with the help and leadership of senior captain Katherine Gaumond, placed eighth in a deep fleet of 18 teams at the Atlantic Coast Championships. The regatta was held by MIT on the Charles River in their fleets of Fireflies and new Turbo FJs.

No. 1 Bulldogs to Compete in Final Regatta of the Fall Season
This weekend the No. 1 Yale women’s sailing team will be heading to MIT for the most competitive regatta of the fall season, the Atlantic Coast Championships. The Bulldogs will be sailing against 17 teams from all over the east coast, who each had to qualify in their district to be able to sail this event.

No. 1 Bulldogs Qualify for ACCs
After two brutally cold days of racing, the No.1 Yale women’s sailing team finished in second place at the Victorian Coffee Urn, securing themselves a spot at the Atlantic Coast Championships which will be held on Nov. 15 and 16 at MIT.

No. 1 Bulldogs to Sail ACC Qualifier
On Friday night the Yale women’s sailing team will drive to cold Enfield, N.H., where racing is to take place on Saturday and Sunday for the Victorian Coffee Urn. The regatta, hosted by Dartmouth, will act as the New England qualifier for the Women’s Atlantic Coast Championship and will be sailed in FJs and Z420s.

Bulldogs Back on Top
This weekend proved to be a successful one for the Yale women’s sailing team with a convincing win at the Stu Nelson Trophy and a return to the top of the college sailing rankings.

No. 2 Bulldogs to Race for the Stu Nelson Trophy
The No. 2 Yale women’s sailing team will be competing close to home this weekend at the Stu Nelson Trophy hosted by Connecticut College. The regatta will be sailed in FJs on the Thames River and will serve as the Bulldogs’ last regatta in preparation for the Victorian Coffee Urn, the qualifier for the Women’s Atlantic Coast Championship.

No. 2 Bulldogs Defend Home Waters
This weekend the No. 2 women’s sailing team won the Yale Women’s Intersectional for the second year in a row, finishing with a 37-point margin over the second-place team. 18 teams competed and sailed 14 races in Yale’s fleets of Z420s and FJs.

No. 2 Bulldogs to Sail at Home
The No. 2 women’s sailing team will be competing on Long Island Sound, the Bulldogs’ home venue, this weekend for the Yale Women’s Intersectional. The two-division regatta will be sailed in Z420s and FJs at the McNay Family Sailing Center in Branford, Conn.

Young Bulldogs Demonstrate Potential at Navy Fall Regatta
This weekend the No. 3 Bulldogs finished in 12th at the Women's Navy Fall Intersectional. A total of 14 races were completed in the US Naval Academy's fleets of Z420s, FJs and Laser Radials.

No. 3 Bulldogs to Compete at U.S. Naval Academy
The No. 3 women’s sailing team will be driving down to Annapolis, Md., this weekend for the Women’s Navy Fall Regatta, one of the biggest intersectionals of the fall season. The regatta is a three-division event, to be sailed in FJs, Z420s and Laser Radials. A and B division will be sailed in both FJs and Z420s, while C division will sail the entire regatta in the Radial.

Breezy Conditions Challenge Isler and Huebner
This weekend proved to be a challenge for junior Marly Isler and freshman Claire Huebner who sailed the New England Women’s Singlehanded Championship on Long Island Sound in strong wind speeds of 18-22 knots on Saturday and 13-16 knots on Sunday. The Bulldogs finished in 11th and 17th place respectively in an experienced fleet of 18 boats.

Isler and Huebner to Compete in New England Singlehanded Championship
This weekend junior Marly Isler and freshman Claire Huebner are traveling to New London, Conn., to compete at the New England Singlehanded Championship, the qualifier for the Women’s Singlehanded National Championship.

No. 3 Bulldogs Win President’s Trophy
The No. 3 women’s sailing team finished first this weekend at the President’s Trophy hosted by Boston University. A total of three races were completed, the minimum number of races needed for an event to count as a regatta.

This weekend the women’s sailing team is off to Boston to compete in the 45th President’s Trophy. Hosted by Boston University, the regatta will be sailed on the Charles River in BU’s fleet of FJs.

Bulldogs Finish Seventh
This weekend the Bulldogs placed seventh out of a total of eighteen teams at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl Regatta in Enfield, N.H. 18 races were sailed in FJs and Z420s on Lake Mascoma.

This weekend the women’s sailing team travels to Lake Mascoma in Enfield, N.H., to compete in the Mrs. Hurst Bowl Regatta, hosted by Dartmouth. The regatta will be sailed in Dartmouth’s fleet of FJ’s and new Z420’s.

Season Opener is a Learning Experience for Young Bulldogs
This weekend the Bulldogs finished tenth at the Tony Deutsch Regatta hosted by MIT. The regatta consisted of 14 races and was sailed in FJ’s and Fireflies, with A-division starting in FJs and B-division in Fireflies. A and B switched fleets after the first eight races on Saturday.

Bulldogs Excited to be Racing Again
After a second-place finish at nationals last spring and three weeks of pre-season training, the Bulldogs are eager to hit the water this weekend for the first regatta of the season – the Toni Deutsch Trophy at MIT. Several key players as well as many promising new sailors will represent Yale at regattas throughout the season in the hopes of maintaining if not improving upon the level of success reached by the women’s sailing team last spring.

After losing six graduating seniors this past spring, the coed and women's sailing teams are excited to welcome a talented and passionate group of five sailors who are expected to make a lasting impact on Yale sailing and the Yale community as a whole.

Five Bulldogs Named to All-Academic Sailing Team
On August 5th, five members of the Yale coed sailing team – four also members of the Yale women’s sailing team – were named to the All-Academic Sailing Team by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association.
