NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's sailing team will compete in the first interconference regatta of the season this weekend at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. Eleven teams from the New England region will be competing along with the University of Pennsylvania, George Washington University, and several schools from across the country.

The Bulldogs will be sending a team comprised of mostly underclassmen with sophomore skipper Louisa Nordstrom competing with senior Caroline Colwell in A division and sophomore skipper Chrissie Klingler competing with first-year crew Cate Mollerus. First-year crew Emery Wallace will also be sailing.

After a mid-fleet finish at last weekend's Toni Deutsch Trophy, the team is ready to showcase its talent.

Conditions are looking light and warm for the weekend, with temperatures in the high 70s and winds from the southeast switching to east on Sunday around 8 mph.

Racing begins at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and can be followed live at http://scores.collegesailing.org/.
