The Yale Women's sailing team had a standout this performance this weekend, winning the Urn trophy by an impressive 55 points over Boston College. The ability to remain calm and focus on velocity changes in puffy and shifty conditions typical of the Charles was key.

On Saturday ten races were sailed in an unstable southwesterly that had pressure differences from 2 to 13 knots across the course. Sunday presented similarly tricky conditions, with the breeze oscillating from the southeast, east, to northeast at 2 to 8 knots.

Senior skipper Casey Klingler and first-year crew had a great performance in A division placing 8 points out of first. Sophomore skipper Louisa Nordstrom and senior crew KB Knapp had one of their best performances of the season, winning B division by 31 points. The duo only placed outside the top 3 in 4 of 16 races sailed.

With this strong performance, the Bulldogs will now advance to the Atlantic Coast Championship held at Connecticut College in two weekends.
