NEW HAVEN, CONN. – With a devastating nor'easter that climbed up the coast on Friday, the Yale Women's Sailing team made the call to drop out of the Old Dominion Women's Regatta. With much racing to go, it was not worth the long trip down for the few number of races that could be sailed due to weather.
In the end, the Bulldogs made the right call. Only ten of the eighteen original teams signed up for the regatta competed. Nine races were able to be sailed in cold and breezy conditions.
With only a few days to go before spring break, the Bulldogs are looking forward to a solid week of training to get out the off-season rust. Several members of the women's team will be competing on March 10th and 11th at the Rudkin Team Race Promotional at Eckerd College.
