NEW HAVEN, CONN. – This weekend the Bulldogs will be competing in their first and only home regatta of the season, the Emily Wick. This is one of the final women's fleet races before the qualifier for nationals in two weeks. With many teams getting ready for the Reed, there will be a lot of talent.
Sailing for the Bulldogs will be skippers senior Casey Klingler and sophomore Louisa Nordstrom. The crews competing will be crews seniors Caroline Colwell and Claire Huebner and first-years Cate Mollerus and Claudia Loiacono. Final pairings will be determined based on the wind.
The current weather forecast makes it look like a cold weekend ahead, with snow accumulating 1-3 inches and winds out of the northwest at 9 mph. Sunday looks a bit windier and warmer with temps in the mid-40s and wind out of the northwest at 10-15 mph.
Racing will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and can be followed live at http://scores.collegesailing.org/s18/wick-shrew/.
