NORFOLK, VA. – The Bulldogs did not have the finish that they had hoped for at the Sperry Women's National Championship, but were able to move up into 8th place overall.

Conditions today were more straightforward, with a southerly breeze at 5-10 knots. With so many races completed during the first day of racing, only six races needed to be sailed in order to finish the event.

Sailing for the Bulldogs was senior skipper Casey Klingler in A division with crew Claudia Loiacono and sophomore skipper Louisa Nordstrom with sophomore crew Graceann Nicolosi in B division. The duo in B division finished first in their division, with Nordstrom winning B division for a second consecutive year in a row.

At the end of racing, the All American Team was also announced, with skippers senior Casey Klingler and sophomore Louisa Nordstrom receiving this honor.

The LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship will begin at 10:00 am tomorrow and many of the crews that sailed in this event will be present for the rest of nationals as well.
