ST. MARYS CITY, Md. - The Yale women's sailing team competed in the first ever ‘showcase semifinal’ event this weekend. The regatta represented half of the best teams in the country, while the other half competed in a separate semifinal. Nine teams from each event qualified to move on to the showcase finals hosted by Brown later this season. This new event style is meant to simulate the national championship in the spring.
Women's Showcase – 3rd (83 points)
Despite very light conditions, some races were completed, and the Bulldogs finished strong, only one point behind second place. This event served as a good indicator for how well the team is doing against the rest of the country. With a successful finish, the Bulldogs will be feeling good as they tune up for the finals in two weeks.
