Abigail Coplin was named an ICSA All-American crew in 2007 and 2008 for her accomplishments in the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 Coed sailing season. Coplin won B Division at the 2007 ICSA Dinghy Nationals along with her skipper Thomas Barrows.
Coplin is a double major in Chemistry and East Asian Studies and is a member of Calhoun College. Coplin will go on to graduate school in East Asian Studies at Harvard following graduation and plans to enter academia and hopefully become a professor.
While in high school, Coplin competed on the junior sailing circuit, sailing both FJ's and 420's.
Abigail enjoys horseback riding, skiing, dancing, and cooking and has worked as a sailing coach and waitress.
At the Emma Willard School, Coplin was honored with the Harvard Book Award, the Distinguished Latin Student Award, and was named a National Merit Finalist.
At Yale, Coplin has been the recipient of the Light Fellowship for Study in China. Coplin is a member of the Cum Laude Society.
