REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: With a low pressure system sitting directly over Dorchester Bay, the conditions were quirky. After a brief wind delay, 4 A races and 3 B races were completed in ESE at 7-10. Strong incoming tide. The races were all W4's. When a fog bank rolled in around 4 PM and limited visibility to 100 yards, racing was called-off for the rest of the day. Within 20 minutes of when "B" division finished de-rigging, the first thunderstorms began to hit Boston. Weather permitting, racing will resume first thing Sunday morning.
Sunday: The conditions were shifty all day long. By the end of the day, the wind had actually hit every point on the compass. 8 races were completed in both divisions, on W4, W3, and W5 courses. There were no protests.
Special thanks to the BC sailors who helped with race management: Chris Prosewich '10 and Emily Flint '08 for scoring; and Christian Manchester '10 and Danny Bloomstein '11 for their help pulling marks and running races. Thank you to the MIT, Conn College, and Coast Guard coaches for helping to keep the PRO entertained all weekend while we were all freezing in the middle of Dorchester Bay.
