NEW HAVEN, Conn. -Yale's last trip to UConn ended in heartbreaking fashion. In last year's season opener, the Huskies scored in the final seconds to tie the game and then won it in overtime. The Bulldogs will hope for a better fate when they return to Storrs on Sunday for a 2 p.m. kickoff. Audio of the game is available at whus.org and live stats from uconnhuskies.com.

After playing its first five games in the friendly confines of Reese Stadium, Yale (3-2) is hitting the road for the first time. The Bulldogs, who are looking to snap a two-game losing streak, have been stingy on defense so far, allowing only three goals in their first five games.

That defense will get a stiff test against a UConn (4-2) team that has scored 11 goals in its last four games, all victories. The streak started with a 3-1 win over Harvard and includes a 4-2 victory over eighth-ranked Wake Forest. Freshman Linda Ruutu leads the Huskies in scoring with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists), and Jessica Dulski has started five games in goal and has a 1.38 goals against average.

Yale and UConn have split the last two meetings, but the Huskies hold a 21-2-2 edge all-time in the series.
