Second Straight Bulldog Honored

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – For the second straight week, a Yale player has earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors. Ciara Ostrander, who tallied a goal and an assist in last Monday's win at Hofstra, is the latest winner after Sarah Jordan was recognized last Monday.

Ostrander had a very big role in the win over the Pride. Her first career goal tied the score early in the second half, and she later made a terrific pass to Lydia Shaw, who struck for the game-winner late in the second overtime period.

Ostrander, a Somers, New York native, has appeared in all seven games for the Bulldogs.

She was a prolific scorer at Somers High School where she scored 64 goals and added 60 assists.

In addition, Michelle Alozie, who scored both goals in Friday's win at Pacific and had two assists vs. Hofstra, was named to the Honor Roll.

After a trip to the West Coast last weekend, the Bulldogs return to Reese Stadium on Friday, hosting Colorado College at 7 p.m.
