Higginson Earns Academic Honor From United Soccer Coaches

Named Second Team All-East Scholar

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Noelle Higginson had a big season for the Bulldogs on the field, earning first team All-Ivy recognition. She also excelled in the classroom and has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region Second Team.

Higginson, an economics major, had a team-high 15 points (4 goals, 7 assists) and was one of only three players to start all 17 games.

Student-athletes receiving Scholar All-Region recognition at the NCAA Division I level met the following criteria:

  • 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career
  • Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team
  • Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution
  • Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school
