NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Christina Ferraris scored two-minutes, four seconds into overtime as Dartmouth edged Yale 1-0 in an Ivy League game at the Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium. Lea Kiefer slid a nifty pass to Ferraris, who dribbled in and slipped a shot past Yale goalkeeper Sarah Walker. The Big Green is unbeaten in its last five games and improved to 5-5-1 overall and 3-0 in Ivy play.
The Big Green controlled the play for most of the contest, outshooting the Bulldogs 11-4. Dartmouth had several good scoring chances in the final minute of regulation. Walker made a brilliant save on a Ferraris shot from 10 yards out with four minutes left, and Sarah Johnson blasted a shot wide from 15 yards out in the final minute of regulation.
Walker finished with five saves for the Bulldogs (5-5-1, 0-2-1 Ivy). Anne Marbarger made three saves to post the shutout in goal for Dartmouth.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday night when they host Colgate at 7 p.m. at the Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium.
