PHILADELPHIA - Despite holding a 13-6 edge in shots and an 11-2 advantage in corner kicks, Yale, ranked 22nd by the NSCAA, had to settle for a 1-1 tie with Penn on a rainy night at Rhodes Field. Christina Huang scored the only goal for the Bulldogs, who saw their 11-game winning streak snapped but who are now unbeaten in their last 12 contests.

Penn's Carolyn Cross opened the scoring at 19:07 on a shot from an angle. The Quakers held the lead until early in the second half when Huang scored from 30 yards out on a free kick.

Yale (11-2-1, 3-0-1 Ivy) outshot Penn 3-1 in the two, 10-minute overtime periods.

Chloe Beizer, who played the first half, and Susan Starr, who was in goal for 65 minutes, each made one save. Jessica Keeley made four saves for the Quakers (7-4-3, 1-2-2 Ivy).

The Bulldogs are back in action next Friday when they play at Columbia at 7 p.m.
