Thom Skoglund Joins Yale Staff

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thom Skoglund, who spent three years as an assistant coach at the University of Hartford, has joined Rudy Meredith's staff. During Skoglund's tenure at Hartford, the Hawks made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament and captured one America East title.

Prior to Hartford, Skoglund was the head coach at Clark University. In his one season, he guided Clark to an 11-7 overall record and a berth in the conference tournament. He also served as an assistant men's coach at Trinity from 1990-93.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Skoglund spent 14 years as a clinician and director of soccer education programs at Oakwood Sports Center in Glastonbury and was the Associate Director of the Select Soccer Academy summer camps. He has coached both boys and girls Premier teams and has worked with the Connecticut and Region I Olympic Development programs.

Skoglund is a 1985 graduate of Central Connecticut. He resides in Tolland, Conn., with his wife, Beth, and children, Trevor and Emma.
