NEW HAVEN, Conn. - A six-game winning streak has propelled the Bulldogs into the national spotlight. Yale, which has outscored its opponents 13-1 during the streak, is ranked 24th this week in the NSCAA national poll. In addition, Saturday's showdown with defending Ivy League champion Princeton will be broadcast on tape on Monday night at 8 p.m. on College Sports TV.
The Bulldogs, who are ranked 28th by SoccerBuzz.com, will be playing their Ivy opener against the Tigers, who have a seven-game Ivy winning streak. Princeton is 1-3-2 so far this season, but is unbeaten in its last three games and has played three games against teams ranked in the top-25.
Yale (6-2) has 10 players with at least a point this year, led by freshman Crysti Howser, who has four goals and two assists. Emma Whitfield has three goals, while Laurel Karnes has two goals and two assists. The Bulldogs' defense has allowed only three goals in eight games.
College Sports TV has agreements with distributors representing more than 65 million homes, including the top six distributors: Comcast, DirecTV, Time Warner, Charter, Cox and Adelphia.
