Macauley Named Ivy League Player Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Mimi Macauley, who scored both goals in Yale's 2-1 victory over Princeton on Saturday, was named the Ivy League Player of the Week. After a scoreless first half, Macauley got Yale on the board first when she eluded a Princeton defender and deflected in a cross in at 48:15. Less than 15 minutes later, she struck again to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.

Macauley has appeared in all eight games and leads Yale in goals (3) and is tied for the team lead in points (7). Her 15 career goals are the most of any player on the roster.

Emma Whitfield was named to the league's honor roll. She assisted on both of Macauley's goals. Whitfield leads the Bulldogs in assists with three and is tied with Macauley for the team lead in points with seven.

Yale is in action on Monday night, traveling to 12th-ranked Boston University at 7 p.m.
