NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's soccer team will try to rebound from Saturday's heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Princeton when the Bryant Bulldogs come to town on Wednesday. The battle of the Bulldogs kicks off at 7 p.m. and fans can follow live stats of the game on GameTracker.
Yale (4-4-1) dominated the second half against Princeton, outshooting the Tigers 7-2, but was unable to take advantage of a number of good scoring chances.
Despite being shutout in its last two games, Yale has three of the top six scorers in the Ivy League. Maggie Westfal tops the league with 15 points, while Becky Brown (12 points) is tied for second and Emma Whitfield (9) is sixth.
Bryant (1-6-2) is in its first year competing at the NCAA Division I level. The team was 17-2-5 last year, including posting an 11-0-3 mark in Northeast 10 play. Bryant played a scoreless tie with future Northeast Conference rival Sacred Heart last Friday. Senior goalkeepers Jessica Clark and Jessica Neales combined to make nine stops in net while shutting out the Pioneers. Bryant's top three scorers are either freshmen or sophomores.
