NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Freshman Christina Huang (Potomac, MD) has been named second team All-Mideast Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Huang, who also was a first team All-Ivy selection, started 15 games in her rookie year for the Bulldogs and helped anchor a Yale defense that allowed only 18 goals. In addition, she tallied one goal and three assists.
Huang played for the Maryland Olympic Development Program for six years and is currently a member of the under-19 Region I team. She also played for the Bethesda Dragons, one of the top club teams in the nation. At the Sidwell Friends School Huang was three-time all-league selection and two-time team most valuable player.
