Batted .450 In Seven Games
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Lauren Delgadillo has been rewarded for her strong start to the season. Delgadillo was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
In seven games, she batted .450 and knocked in four runs. Her biggest hit was a home run leading off the bottom of seventh inning to lift the Bulldogs to a 6-5 victory over New Mexico. She had three multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance against New Mexico.
Delgadillo, a San Clemente, Calif., native, was the Sea View League most valuable player as a senior at San Clemente High School.
Sarah Onorato was named to the Honor Roll. Onorato batted .381 in seven games and had a home run.
The Bulldogs are back in action Tuesday afternoon when they play a doubleheader at Seattle University.
