Do Has Two Hits And Knocks In Run For Yale

CLEARWATER, Fla. – For the second time on its spring break trip, Yale ran into a very hot Colgate team. The Raiders banged out 14 hits en route to an 18-2 victory on the final day of the South Florida Tournament.

Laina Do went 2-for-2 and knocked in a run for the Bulldogs. Sydney Glover also had two hits.

Yale scored its two runs in the fifth. After Shelby Kennedy reached on an error and Glover singled, Do singled up the middle, scoring Kennedy. Glover later scored when Camille Weisenbach reached on an error.

Colgate (7-13) seized control early by scoring three times in the first and adding five more runs in the third.

The Bulldogs return to New Haven on Sunday night and are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Army on Wednesday starting at 3:30 p.m.
