Parks has established herself as one of the steadiest third basemen in the Ivy League. Last year she made only five errors in 163 chances. At the plate she had career highs in batting average (.243), runs (15), hits (37) and RBI (15). In a doubleheader with Fairleigh Dickinson she was 5-for-7 with two RBI and a run scored. She had nine multi-hit games, and her longest hitting streak of the season was five games during which she batted .563 (9-for-16). As a sophomore, Parks was the second team All-Ivy third baseman after overcoming an early-season injury. In 14 league games, she batted .286 and had five RBI. Her top performance came in a doubleheader with Penn when she went 4-for-7 with two runs scored and an RBI. Parks started 37 games at third base in her rookie season. She captained her squad at Capistrano Valley High School, where she lettered at shortstop for all four years. She was a three-time all-league selection, and helped lead the team to the league championship in 2001. Parks was the recipient of the four-year scholar athlete award. At Yale, Meredith majors in biology and resides in Berkeley College. She is the daughter of Richard Parks and Mary Dean.
