KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Depsite three hits from Christina Guerland, Yale dropped a pair of games in their second day of competition at the Rebel Games. The Bulldogs lost to Robert Morris 6-1 and fell to Saint Peter's 1-0.
In the opener against Robert Morris, Brenna Reed held Yale to only two hits, but one was a first-inning solo home run by Guerland. Reed struck out two and walked only one in tossing the complete game.
Peggy Hunt went the distance on the mound for the Bulldogs and had four strikeouts.
Yale trailed 3-1 after six innings, but Robert Morris scored three times in the seventh to seal the victory.
Saint Peter's scored the only run of the second game in the second inning. Robyn Freel pitched a complete-game shutout, scattering six hits.
Ashley Linnenbank was the hard-luck loser for Yale. In six innings, she struck out five and allowed only five hits.
