KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Ashley Linnenbank scattered six hits and pitched a complete game shutout as Yale beat Dayton 4-0 in the first of two games at the Rebel Games. Freshman Christina Guerland was 2 for 3 with three RBI, and Leah Kelley also had two hits for the Bulldogs. Amy Seese was 1 for 2 with a pair of runs scored. In the second game, Yale fell to Tennessee-Martin 3-2. Chelsea Kanyer went 3 for 4 and extended her hitting streak to seven games.

Against Dayton (4-12), Yale opened the scoring in the first inning. Kelley led off with a single, stole second and scored on Guerland's single. Britni Fabacher tripled and scored on a throwing error in the second, and Guerland drove home Yale's third run with a single in the fourth and then added a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Linnenbank struck out three in earning her second victory of the season.

Tennessee-Martin (11-7) scored three times in the sixth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit and edge the Bulldogs in the second game. Yale made two errors in the inning and two of the runs were unearned. The Bulldogs (5-7) scored both their runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Kanyer and Kristy Kwiatkowski's fielder's choice. Peggy Hunt pitched five innings for Yale and allowed only one earned run.

Nicole Davis was the winning pitcher for Tennessee-Martin. She went the distance, struck out six and gave up six hits.

Yale concludes its spring break trip to Florida by playing a doubleheader at Stetson at 5 p.m.
