NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Erin Snyder pitched nine shutout innings in a 3-0 victory in the first game and hit a two-run homer in a 4-0 win in the nightcap as first-place Princeton swept an Ivy League doubleheader from Yale at DeWitt Family Field. Chelsea Kanyer had one hit in both games for the Bulldogs.

The first game was a pitcher's duel between Snyder and Yale's Ashley Linnenbank, who allowed only four hits and two earned runs in a complete game. Linnenbank has allowed only five earned runs in her last 32 innings. Snyder, who struck out 13, retired the first 10 hitters before Christina Guerland singled to shallow left field with one out in the fourth. Yale's only other base runner was Kate Meserve, who walked with one out in the eighth. Kanyer singed in the seventh but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double.

Princeton (31-14, 10-2 Ivy) threatened in the fifth. Ty Ries led off with a single and moved to second on Tiffany Andras's sacrifice bunt. After Christina Cobb-Adams struck out, Lauren Bierman hit a wicked line drive that appeared to be headed into right field, but first baseman Kanyer reached out and snared it for the third out.

Princeton scored three runs in the ninth without the benefit of a hit. Amanda Erickson led off with a walk. Tiffany Wilson pinch ran for Erickson and beat a throw to second on Lindsay Motal's bunt and then beat a throw to third on Stephanie Steel's sacrifice bunt. Ty Ries' squeeze bunt scored Wilson, and the Tigers added two more runs on an error.

In the second game, Kristen Schaus pitched a one-hitter and struck out seven. Erickson doubled home two runs in the first inning, and Snyder hit a two-run homer to left in the third to account for the scoring.

Yale's only hit in the game was Kanyer's solid single to left center in the fourth. Emily Lederer walked in the second and seventh innings.

The Bulldogs (13-25, 2-8 Ivy) host Penn in a doubleheader on Monday beginning at 12:30 p.m.
