No. 4 Bulldogs Close Out Perfect Round Robin With Wins Over No. 11 Mount Holyoke, No. 28 Northeastern
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 4 Yale women's squash team completed a successful Yale Round Robin schedule by winning two matches on Sunday, topping No. 11 Mount Holyoke 9-0 and No. 28 Northeastern 7-0.
In the morning match Yale (7-1, 2-1 Ivy) handed Mount Holyoke (6-4) a convincing loss, dropping only one total game. The win included a dominant performance by sophomore Rhetta Nadas, who defeated Mount Holyoke's Shara Robertson at the No. 3 position 11-5, 11-1, 11-1.
In the afternoon match the Bulldogs swept an overmatched Northeastern team 7-0, winning all seven matches 3-0. Seniors Katherine Ettinger and Kaitlin Vinci both turned in strong 11-1, 11-3, 11-1 victories, playing at the No. 4 and No. 7 positions, respectively.
The Bulldogs will host No. 2 Trinity (7-0) this Wednesday at the Brady Squash Center in what should be a great match.
