NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In a match-up of two of the top women's squash programs in the country, No. 3 Trinity will host No. 2 Yale this Wednesday at 6 p.m. Both teams have gone undefeated so far this season, with identical 6-0 records. However, Yale has undoubtedly faced a tougher line-up, including No. 5 Penn and No. 7 Cornell.
The Bulldogs are coming off a strong win against No. 7 Cornell on Saturday, in which they defeated the Big Red 9-0. Trinity also blanked No. 8 Dartmouth this past weekend, setting the stage for an epic match up between two perennial powerhouses.
Both Yale and Trinity will feature highly ranked CSA players in their lineups. Yale boasts a very highly ranked line-up, including No. 3 Logan Greer, No. 4 Sarah Toomey, and No. 10 Millie Tomlinson. The Bantams are led by No. 2 Pamela Hathway, No. 8 Catalina Pelaez, and No. 14 Jennifer Pelletier.
Last year, the Bulldogs lost a close match against the Bantams by a 5-4 margin, and hope to even the score with a win this Wednesday. After dropping only seven games in six matches, the Bulldogs seem both confident and capable of doing so.
Yale also has a busy weekend to look forward to; the Bulldogs will host No. 6 Stanford (Friday, time TBA), No. 15 Franklin and Marshall (Friday at 3:30p.m.), Mount Holyoke (Saturday at 11:30 a.m.) and No. 20 Colby (Saturday at 4:30 p.m.) at the Brady Squash Center.
