New Haven, Conn. – Coming off a strong win against No. 3 Trinity, the Yale women continued to dominate competition this weekend, defeating No. 6 Stanford, No. 16 Franklin and Marshall, and No. 15 Mount Holyoke, and No. 20 Colby by perfect 9-0 scores at the Yale Round Robin at the Brady Squash Center.
The women began the Round Robin with a 9-0 win against Franklin and Marshall on Friday afternoon, setting the tone for a successful campaign throughout the weekend.
Next, they took on Stanford, where No. 3 Captain Logan Greer defeated No. 11 Pamela Chua in four sets at No. 1. The Yale vs. Stanford matchup exemplifies sibling rivalrly at its finest, matching Yale head coach David Talbott against his younger brother, Mark Talbott, who has served as Stanford's head coach since 2004.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs returned to match play, and defeated Mount Holyoke and Colby.
The Yale women have yet to drop a match this season, and seem to improve with each match that they play. The Bulldogs now have a week to prepare for their next match against No. 4 Princeton at the Brady Squash Center next Saturday at 1p.m.
