NEW HAVEN, Conn. — No. 5 Yale opened its Ivy League season this afternoon with a 9-0 victory over No. 11 Columbia at the Brady Squash Center.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved their record to 5-0 (1-0 Ivy) while the Lions dropped to 1-2 (0-1 Ivy) on the year. As in its previous matches, Yale did not lose a single game of the 27 played. Columbia twice came close to grabbing a game, but senior captain Lilly Fast and junior Issey Norman-Ross overcame Columbia's best efforts by scores of 14-12 and 13-11 on the way to 3-0 victories.
Yale will wrap up its week Sunday with a 12 p.m. match against No. 6 Cornell at the Brady Squash Center.
