No. 5 Bulldogs Pick Up Another Road Win

PHILADELPHIA -- The Yale women's squash team picked up another road win today, beating the No. 13 Drexel Dragons 9-0.  The Bulldogs had strong performances from the top to bottom of their top nine, only giving up one game on the day.

Senior Jenny Scherl, who received the Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week award for her performance at Stanford last weekend, continued her high level of play versus Drexel's Ryan Morgan in the one spot, outscoring Morgan 33-12 in three games. Fellow seniors Shiyuan Mao and Madeline Tomlinson also shutout their opponents 3-0 in games. Mao defeated Mary Fung-A-Fat 11-6, 11-9, 11-3 in the four spot, while Tomlinson won 11-5, 11-7, 11-1 in the nine spot.

The No. 5 Bulldogs are now on a two match win streak after upsetting then No. 5 Stanford in Palo Alto last weekend. Yale will continue its road trip tomorrow in Washington D.C. when they face-off against No. 12 George Washington.
