Bulldogs Celebrate Seniors, Award Winners
May 16, 2018The Yale women's squash team recently held its 2017-18 banquet and announced their new captain, rising senior Emily Sherwood (Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.). The banquet also honored the three current seniors for their four years of dedication and contributions to the program. Captain Jen Davis (Wilmington, Del.), Jocelyn Lehman (Greenwich, Conn.) and Selena Maity (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) led the Yale Women to their best finish in the past five years: fourth nationally and third in the Ivy League. -
Sherwood to Captain Bulldogs in 2018-19
May 03, 2018Emily Sherwood (Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.) has been named 2018-19 captain for the Yale women’s squash team. Sherwood was elected by the team at the 2018 team banquet, held the last week of April. She is a three-year letter winner and, along with Celine Yeap (Penang, Malaysia), is one of the two rising seniors on next year’s squad. She has more than 20 individual wins for Yale Squash the last three years. -
Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced
April 11, 2018The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2017-18 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The recipients were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes. -

December 14, 2017Yale will be a part of hosting the largest individual squash tournament in the world starting this Saturday, as the U.S. Junior Open comes to the Brady Squash Center in Payne Whitney Gym. The tournament, which runs through next Tuesday and also includes matches at Loomis Chaffee School, Trinity and Wesleyan, is set for record participation: 940 players, representing 41 countries. -
