Bulldogs Continue Streak; Blank Amherst and Williams in Single Day

MASSACHUSETTS—The first matches of 2018 were successful for the No. 6 Yale women's squash team, who secured its fourth and fifth consecutive wins against No. 16 Amherst and No. 14 Williams, respectively.

Sunday's triumphs also continued the Bulldogs' streak of closeout performances—their past four matches have resulted in 9-0 scores.

In the opening competition of the day against Amherst, Yale's dominance was clear. The Bulldogs took each match in three straight sets, showing the results of their training over the winter thus far.

Seniors Jocelyn Lehman and Selena Maity displayed their leadership at the No. 5 and 7 spots with complete shutouts over their competitors.

Within hours of the their match with Amherst, the Yale women were at it again against Williams. The quick turnaround didn't phase the Bulldogs, who showed their strength and endurance on the courts with another blowout win.

The next time the Bulldogs test their skill will be in their first Ivy League match of the regular season when they see Penn on Saturday, Jan. 13.
