Yale Downs Cornell, 9-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs picked up their first league win of the year Saturday morning, handily defeating the Cornell Big Red 9-0 at the Brady Squash Center. Yale dropped just two games in a thoroughly dominating performance.

At the top of the lineup, No. 1 Miranda Ranieri defeated Jennifer Gemmell, 3-0 (9-3, 9-1, 9-1), No. 2 Logan Greer beat Rachel Wagner, 3-0 (9-1, 9-0, 9-2), and No. 3 Sarah Toomey also won in three games, downing Liza Stokes, 9-2, 9-1, 9-2.

No. 4 Alia Aziz provided a strong performance as well, handily defeating Annie Ritter, 3-0 (9-1, 9-0, 9-4).

No. 5 Caroline Reigeluth and No. 9 Katharine Ettinger each dropped the first games in their respective matches, then proceeded to win the next three. Reigeluth downed Alex Cornett, 3-1 (7-9, 9-5, 9-0, 9-5) and Ettinger beat Alix Watson, 3-1 (5-9, 9-5, 9-1, 9-2).
