Split Elis Dominate in Ithaca and Princeton

Jan. 22, 2005

Despite having their top six players competing at the Constable Invitational at Princeton University, the No. 1 ranked Elis (5-0, 2-0 Ivy) made easy work of the Big Red, winning 9-0 without dropping a game.

Junior Rachita Vora led the way at No. 1, defeating her opponent 3-0. The Bulldogs have yet to lose an individual match this season.

Yale's top players were further south for the Constable Invitational in Princeton N.J. Of the four semi-finalists, three were Elis, including defending champion Michelle Quibell, Amy Gross, and Katherine McLeod. Gross defeated McLeod and Quibell beat Trinity's Vaidehi Reddy to setup an all-Yale final tomorrow.

"The weekend was very successful," head coach Dave Talbott said.

The Bulldogs were scheduled to face Hobart Saturday afternoon, but the match was cancelled due to inclement weather.
