The No. 1 women's squash team, still coming off a huge win against Trinity, powered through Princeton today, dropping only one match and winning 8-1.
The Elis' only loss came in the No. 9 slot, as Yale dominated matches one through eight.
Five Elis won their matches 3-0, with Michelle Quibell defeating Ruchika Kumar 3-0 in the top match of the competition. Catherine McLeod swept Ali Pearson 3-0 at No. 3, and Frances Ho defeated Tricia Gadsden by that score in the four slot. Kate Rapisarda and Lauren Doline also dispatched their opponents without dropping a game.
Freshman Lauren McCrery battled back from being down 2-1 to take the fourth and fifth games against Genevieve Lessard, defeating the Tiger 3-2, while Sarah Coleman dropped Yale's lone match in a 3-2 loss to Anina Nolan.
Yale has high aspirations for this season after upending Trinity and cruising through other matches. The Bulldogs are hoping to be Ivy League victors as well as national champions this year.
