Bulldogs Fall To Penn In Ivy Opener

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Women's squash opened its Ivy League schedule by dropping a tough 7-2 match to Penn on Saturday in Philadelphia. Captain Miranda Ranieri and Sarah Toomey picked up wins for the Bulldogs.

Playing at No. 1, Ranieri made quick work of Kristen Lange, defeating her in three games. Toomey's win at No. 3 also came in three games, over Britt Hebdon.

At No. 4, Caroline Reigeluth battled hard against Tara Chawla, but ultimately fell in a tight 3-2 match.

"They were just tough," said head coach Dave Talbott. "They were a little stronger than us from [four] on down."
