As has been the case many times this year, senior Susan Kim and freshman Alex Forrester came up with victories for the Bulldogs, but this time it was not enough to take down Princeton and Harvard. Yale could not come up with enough points to keep it close and it suffered its first two Ivy League loses of the year. Yale fell to Harvard180-120 and to Princeton 191-107. Princeton won the meet and the league title defeating Harvard, 196-102.

Yale will head to Princeton this weekend to take on the Tigers and Harvard in the Bulldogs' toughest meet of the year. Harvard is 5-0 having faced only Ivy opponents and Princeton is 4-0 also having faced only Ivy opponents.

Navy Narrowly Sinks Bulldogs

It was the toughest competition the Bulldogs had faced all year. Three pool records fell, two divers qualified for NCAAs, and in the end, only two points separated Yale and Navy. Navy defeated Yale by a score of 151-149 in a meet that could have gone either way. Ultimately the difference was Navy won two more events than the Bulldogs, including the final 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Bulldogs came into Philadelphia undefeated in the Ivy League, and they leave exactly the same way.
Bulldogs Take Unbeaten Streak into Philadelphia

The Yale women's swimming and diving team is coming off a big win over Cornell last weekend, and will be looking to ride that momentum into Philadelphia on Saturday when they take on Penn and Dartmouth. The Bulldogs will get to face the second of two teams that gave them a scare at last year's Ivy League Championships. The Bulldogs took third at Ivies but had to hold off strong charges from Penn and Columbia on the final day. Yale already defeated Columbia 199-101 to open the season, and it will now get a shot at Penn.
