Bulldogs Post One of Country's Best GPAs
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's swimming and diving team has earned CSCAA Scholar All America Team honors, posting one of the top team GPAs in the country. Yale's 3.39 GPA for the spring tied Harvard for the third-best GPA among Ivy League teams, and was tied for 40th in the country. CSCAA Scholar All America Team honors require a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The Bulldogs' academic success as a team was bolstered by the individual performance of Hayes Hyde '12, an environmental studies major who earned Academic All-Ivy League recognition for her work in the classroom.
Yale also experienced success in the water this season, winning three regular season dual meets and placing third at the Ivy League Championship meet while winning five events and having seven different team members earn All-Ivy League recognition.
Yale also sent competitors on to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships and the NCAA Swimming Championships. Additionally, six Bulldogs competed in the recent U.S. Olympic Trials.
